What information is being collected?

The information that is automatically detected by our web site is as follows:

• IP Address - Collecting your IP Address protects us. If you use a fraudulent or stolen credit card, for example, we can take steps to track you down. It protects us from people misusing our site and protects you from people misusing your card.
• Browser type - We collect your browser type so we know what browser you are using. For example, if you are using Netscape Communicator on a Macintosh system, we can take steps to make sure our web site is compatible. This allows us to serve the maximum number of customers and ensures our web site is compatible with their systems.
• Where you came from - For business purposes we like to know if you were linked here from another web site or if you can here from a search engine. For example, if you searched and found us through Google then we would know that you searched from google and what phrase you searched for in order to find our web site.
• Operating System Type - We collect your operating system type (For example, Windows 98 or Macintosh) in order to be compatible with the most customers surfing through our web site.

That is the only information that our web site detects automatically about your computer system. All other information that we collect will be typed in and submitted manually by you. For example, when you sign up for a new account in order to checkout and pay for your products that you have in your cart you will be required to give your name, address, etc. We need this information in order to successfully complete your order.

When is this information being collected?

The information that is automatically detected is collected the very first time you view our web site on your computer. The information such as your name, address, etc., will be collected when you check out or create a new account. Please note that the only time you will ever be asked for your credit card number is when you complete a purchase through our store. You will not be required to enter your credit card in order to open an account.

Who will be using this information?

Five Mile Design and only Five Mile Design. We do not sell, lease, or share any of your information with anyone. No suppliers, partners, or affiliates have access to your information. If you you complete a order on this site your information will be sent to the credit card processor to process your payment. That is the only information that is passed to anyone.

Where is the information being stored?

The information is stored on our web server in a database. The information that you submit when you create an account or purchase products from our store is also stored in a database.

How long will this information be in storage?

Your account information will stay in place in our database until you cancel or delete your account. The only exception is your credit card. Your credit card will be in storage in our secure database until the order is completed. At that point, it will be deleted out of our database. Even though our database is under heavy security, with a piece of information that important we felt inclined to simply not risk keeping the card number in storage.

Some information will be sent by e-mail. For example, when you create a new account you will get a welcome message containing a copy of the information you submitted to us. Also when you complete an order in our store, your order receipt will be e-mailed to you. Your credit card number will not be sent with this e-mail.
